The students in 6B were assigned a challenging culminating task in geometry: construct a village and a city out of polygons using a variety of tools, with given
angles and measurements. The resulting structures were designed and assembled entirely by students.
They worked collaboratively to design each piece so that it would contribute to either the village or the city. At the same time they had to ensure that the scale remained relatively consistent. Success criteria were co-created and a graphic organizer for planning was used to support the planning process. These are pictures of the finished product.
We have some budding young architects in our school!
