Mr. Goodman shares his account of today's exciting fieldtrip:
Today our Grade 5, 6, and 7 classes kicked off the school year
with an amazing visit downtown to the Air Canada Centre. We joined about 9,000 students from across the Greater Toronto Area where we watched a fascinating presentation on the ice. The
presentation explained about the upcoming World Cup of Hockey and broadened our
understanding of foundational Math and Science concepts that relate to sport on ice. We also learned about careers in hockey beyond being a hockey player.
The cheering,
smiles and spirit demonstrated by our Thornhill Woods students was outstanding!
Thank you to our volunteer parents who helped with supervision and to our staff for keeping everyone safe and ensuring that a great time was had by all.
