TWPS happenings!

All our students engaged in the worldwide Hour of Code event!

Grade 7 students visited  Gr. 3 students to share the learning about the fur trade. Gr. 3's have been learning about Pioneers in Canada so it was a great opportunity for the two grade to connect their learning.

Our food and toy donations are amazing and growing by the day.  Two very large bags of toys were gratefully accepted by the firefighters at the firehall on Dufferin (behind Canadian Tire).  The Chai Lifeline box is full too and the hallway outside the library is overflowing with non-perishable food items.  Thank you so much TWPS families for your generous donations! Mrs. Cohen and Ms. Vanderzon and our entire staff are so proud of our students.

GR. 3 SCIENCE
Students in Gr. 3 have been having fun while learning in Science class.
During the Plant and Soil unit each student conducted an experiment to grow a bean seed into a plant without soil or sunlight. This process is called Germination. See below for a picture of the experiment.

Here is the procedure used to create the bean seeds as well as a detailed description.
